In collaboration with the Hong Kong and Tees Branches, the Railway Group welcomes Simon French, the Chief Inspector of the RAIB to present this webinar on accident investigation – including the purpose and findings of the RAIB reports. RAIB investigate the most serious accidents and incidents, including the Sandilands multiple fatality tram accident and the fatal accident following the passenger train derailment near Carmont in Scotland.
RAIB Investigation reports provide a consistent and highly commendable structure which looks in detail at beyond the immediate a causes of accidents. The independent nature of these reports, which are written and presented in a clear and concise format will be of immense value to all and those with an interest in accident investigation in any industry. I recommend reading the RAIB Annual Report for 2020 for an advance flavour of this webinar.
