This session is particularly aimed at non-specialists who may still have asbestos management or surveillance responsibilities. However we welcome all with an interest in learning more or refreshing their knowledge.
Roger is currently the Managing Director for ACS Risk Group. Asbestos started to be suspected as having 'qualities detrimental to health' in the 70's, where Roger started his research. When the Asbestos scares came in the 70's he was determined to have a positive effect in this world by demonstrating how to change workers practices and people's attitudes towards it. His company logo is inspired from his beliefs that we should all be working towards the middle where economic, social and environmental factors overlap. His company now works worldwide within the Health, Safety and Environment sphere and his research currently saves around 150 lives per annum in the UK alone. The speaker looks forward to taking questions.
